Welcome to
The Handmade Afghans Project
Our objective is to thank those wounded in service to our country. To bring comfort and warmth to our wounded service members, we create handmade afghans. The afghans are sent to nine military hospitals including Landstuhl Regional Hospital in Germany and Craig Joint Theater Hospital in Afghanistan. You can view our work at Shutterfly.
Most of our participants live in Maryland and DC but we have friends knitting and crocheting in all 50 states and DC. At this time we are working at capacity and not able to accept new members or rectangles from nonmembers.
